Roy G Hemmings Biography

Roy G. Hemmings is a long-standing member of the legendary group, The Drifters. He has worked alongside founding member Johnny Moore for more than a decade and is now the longest serving singer in the band. Roy has made numerous television and concert appearances all over the world, including The Royal Albert Hall and several Royal Variety Shows. In 1995, he performed as a member of The Drifters at The White House for the President of the USA, Mr. Bill Clinton and was invited back to perform a second time by special request of the President!

Roy G. Hemmings has also enjoyed major success when he signed a recording deal in the mid-seventies with The J.A.L.N. Band, one of the first bands to storm the British charts with an out ‘n’ out dance record, “Disco Music, I Like It” produced by Pete Waterman. After three well-received albums, the group disbanded and Roy launched his solo career, during which he has toured the Middle East, Europe and America, playing some of the world’s most prestigious venues.

Available solo, with his backing singers, The Prim-ettes and also with his live band, Roy aims to please and hits the target every time.
